| Rajasthan State level workshop: A workshop was organized for Southern Rajasthan region in Udaipur with key NGO partners and government officials. The main objective of the workshop was to understand the livelihood situation of tribal communities in the region and suggest various feasible livelihood options. The participants were divided into groups pertaining to the specific regions of their work in Southern Rajasthan for on the possible livelihood options to be promoted in each region,which would support the livelihood of tribal communities proceedings of the concept note and workshop. This workshop provided CInI an overall understanding of situation of tribal communities in Southern Rajasthan and probable partners to work jointly towards focused livelihood enhancement projects in the most deserved regions. |
| JKLEAP Partners Meet: Jharkhand Livelihood Enhancement Platform (JKLEAP) is a forum of Civil Society Organizations towards strengthening and enhancing the livelihood of rural communities in Jharkhand. The state of Jharkhand has maximum field partners under CInI and the task of strengthening the JKLEAP is important. For taking forward the initiative second JKLEAP Partner meet was held in Ranchi after a gap of almost a year. It was decided jointly that the Secretariat of the forum would be based in CInI at Jamshedpur and various sub-groups were formed based on the region (divided the states into four regions) so that they would develop their region specific plans. |
Partnership with NABARD: CInI has been able to promote a working relationship with NABARD under the Tribal Development Fund (TDF). This partnership was initiated in state of Madhya Pradesh and is being looked upon as a long term strategic alliance across the CInI states. Strengthening this relationship would help CInI and NABARD to work jointly towards improving livelihood of the tribal people across CInI states. Measures are in place towards linking with NABARD in the states of Jharkhand and Orissa.
