Monitoring &
Technical Backstopping
Monitoring and Technical backstopping is one of the four pillars of the CInI mandate.
Providing regular and ongoing support through on-field monitoring to 25 partners across Central India is the fundamental component of CInI’s existence.
The sphere of work is spread across the entire project cycle of any Grant. This
starts from identification and appraising potential organizations working on tribal
livelihood promotion with a purpose to understand the organization’s strength and area of improvements.
On approval of project by donor CInI provides regular field monitoring support through
its professionals and in-house pool of resource persons. At the end of the project
cycle CInI facilitates the conduction of the end project assessments or impact assessments.
The recommendations from the assessment are carried forward in the next phase of
the project.
Besides, enhancing quality of the programmes is a strong mandate of CInI. In order
to do so CInI is developing an overall Monitoring and Evaluation system which incorporates
development of Programme Quality Indicators for key interventions on tribal livelihood
promotion, development of standard data base management system and development of
systems within themes (like KPS, NTFP).
This will help CInI in developing a learning and dissemination loop for further improving the quality of implementation.
