Objective:
To reach
3,75,000 tribal Households in 5 Central Indian states of Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh,
Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal to ensure
365 days of food sufficiency for 50% of participating households
by the end of FY 2012 by extending support to 50 organizations for promotion
and institutionalization of the improved farming practices.
Activities:
1)
Identification, training
and capacity building of 50 potential partner
organizations.
2)
Facilitate creation
and maintenance of Water Harvesting Structures by partner organizations for the
targeted households
to ensure life saving irrigation for paddy crops.
3)
Ensuring implementation
of Common Minimum Intervention points with the targeted households.
4)
Facilitate risk mitigation
arrangements by inducting crop and accidental insurance coverage for the participant
Households as integrated component of the programme.
5)
Create and support institutional
mechanism to ensure farm related service delivery at the doorstep of target households.
6)
Collaboration with resource
agencies for techno managerial know-how.
7)
Capacity building of
participant household and promotional activities to
increase the programme outreach and coverage
8)
Research and documentation
on subjects pertaining to KPS theme
