The CInI would conceive and incubate innovative ideas and practices for improving livelihood of the poorest. The ideas would be piloted through different players active in different states.

1. To look out for new ideas and experiments by the partner organisation to promote technologies for promoting sustainable rural livelihood
2. The innovations and field experiments, wherein it could promote the already developed concept and try and disseminate it in similar agro climatic regions.
3. To disseminate findings and necessary policy influencing through workshops and meetings involving key stakeholders

CInI is currently looking at two innovative ideas, viz. Up scaling of Phad irrigation along with research and piloting of Ahar-Pyne system.
