| Ahar-pyne System |
| Ahar-pyne: Ahar-pyne is the traditional irrigation practice followed in South Bihar Plains. In the last year, exploratory visits were made to two districts of Jharkhand viz. Palamu and Hazaribag to assess the status of the Ahar-pyne system (Report of the exploratory visit). The detailed Research on Ahar-Pyne system in these districts has already been initiated. Based on the output of the report, which would be shared with different stakeholders, the actual revival work would be initiated in the field. |
