The rainfall in the central Indian states is distributed rather unevenly, wherein the western tribal districts of Rajasthan receive rainfall of about 600 mm, few districts in Maharashtra, Chattisgarh and South Gujarat receive a maximum rainfall of about 1500-1700 mm.
